PROJECT COLLABORATION
Decantus AeroTraditional wine decanters are time consuming and their sizes and shapes make them harder to store and carry. As Franmara, Inc.is always looking for a better way to enhance wine drinker’s experience, new ideas came across their mind and we started the new project of creating Decantus Aero.
We came out the design which utilizes the Bernoulli (Swiss scientist ) effect where the reduced pressure of a stream of fluid draws an air flow through diagonal thin tubes inside this new product. This helps soften tannins, increase bouquet and enhance flavor of the wine. Not only it has the decanting (aerating) function but also works as a pourer and a drip stopper.
Decantus Aero came to the market in 2011 and has become one of the best selling product since. The product development process is as shown below:
